The "Do Not Use Elevator" plate provides an effective warning to firefighters not to use the elevators even with the bypass key, as a fire has been detected in the elevator mechanical room. The warning label is silkscreened in red ink on a single gang stainless steel plate. When activated, a bright red flashing LED draws the firefighters attention to the message.
