The VDV MapMaster™ 3.0 is a versatile, easy-to-use cable tester designed for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telco, network, and coax cables. It combines several functions into one unit, including continuity testing, mapping, tone generation, and length measurement. The tester features a backlit LCD display, a glow-in-the-dark keypad, and a built-in LED flashlight, making it ideal for working in dark environments. The unit supports T568A/B wiremap configurations and tests for issues like shorts, opens, miswires, reverses, and split pairs. It can identify up to 20 cable runs at a time, with an audible tone generator that offers four selectable cadences. The VDV MapMaster 3.0 also includes single-ended testing for shorts and split pairs and provides length measurement in feet or meters.
